1939 Triple Feature!

March 3 @ 2:00 pm - 8:30 pm

$0.35

Triple feature at 1939 prices

The Eureka Theater’s 80th birthday celebration continues with a triple feature from 1939, arguably the greatest year in movie history.

Sunday, March 3rd

Doors open 2:00

2:30: follow Dorothy and friends down the yellow brick road and see the Wizard of Oz as it was meant to be seen–on the big screen.

5:00: it’s Destry Rides Again the charming comedy-western starring James Stewart and Marlene Dietrich. When a tough western town needs taming, the mild-mannered son of a hard-nosed sheriff gets the job.

7:00: The Marx Brothers are At the Circus, trying to save the circus for its young owner by getting a performance at a high-society party. A highlight is Groucho’s classic rendition of “Lydia the Tattooed Lady.”

And of course, plenty of cartoons and shorts to fill in the gaps.

ten cents for kids 12 and under
No advance tickets

Beer, wine, and cocktails will be sold beginning at 4:30 (over 21, ID required)
