Night of the Living Dead / Dawn of the Dead – double feature!
George A. Romero’s black and white original that spawned countless imitators in the zombie genre and beyond, this 1968 classic will have you locking the doors and boarding up the windows. In our opinion, slow zombies are the only zombies, and Romero is their master. Duane Jones and Judith O’Dea star, holing up in a farmhouse as the dead pop up from their graves to feast on the living.
The thing about zombies is they just keep coming. So, too, zombie movies! Stick around for Dawn of the Dead, George A. Romero’s sequel to Night of the Living Dead.
The action moves to a Philadelphia mall, where SWAT team members and TV news people scramble to fend off the hungry flesh eaters without getting bitten. It’s headshot heavy with a synth score by Goblin (seriously). When there’s no more room in Hell, the dead will walk the earth.
Tickets are $8.00 for both features. Doors open at 7:00 PM, movie begins at 7:30 PM. Beer & wine available (over 21 only, ID required)
