Sunday, March 18
Doors open at 2 PM
On Sunday March 18th, we’re partnering with the Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission to start a new film series, featuring classic movies filmed in the Redwood Region… Martini Matinees sponsored by Couture Designer Consignment!
First up, will be Lana Turner in ‘Green Dolphin Street’ (1947). 70 years ago, on March 20th, 1948, this classic film, which was nominated for 4 Academy Awards, ended up winning an Oscar for Best Special Effects. We’ll celebrate that win on March 18th, 2018!
And like their other community film series, Movies in the Park, our monthly Martini Matinee screenings, are FREE! Of course, donations will be accepted!
The bartenders, at the no-host bar, will be mixing up classic and themed martinis for you to enjoy while you watch classic movies on the big screen. Beer, wine, and concessions will be also available, as always. The proceeds go toward the restoration of the theater!
The other films we’ll be showing over the next few months will be:
- April: The Big Trees (1952) starring Kirk Douglas
- May: Dead Man (1995) starring Johnny Depp
- June:The Majestic (2001) starring Jim Carey
